Campaign Contributes $485,329 to Scholarships

A three-day challenge match with a goal of $100,000 for Westmont student scholarships raised nearly five times that amount. Learning, Calling, Community and You, which launched May 9, brought in a total of $485,329 after a group of generous trustees matched donations. The campaign featured stories and videos of Westmont students.

The third annual Westmont Academy for Young Artists (WAYA), an intensive two-week program for local musicians ages 10-18, is Aug. 7-18 at Westmont. Tuition costs $1575 with a $25 application fee. Scholarships are available at 
Jupiter rises into view during the monthly public viewing of the starts on Friday, June 16, beginning about 8 p.m. and lasting for several hours at the Westmont Observatory. This may be the final chance to see the planet with the college’s eight-inch refracting telescope during this summer’s viewings in Montecito.
