Biography/Details
Alister Chapman did his undergraduate and doctoral work at the University of Cambridge in England. His publications include Godly Ambition: John Stott and the Evangelical Movement (Oxford University Press, 2012), Seeing Things Their Way: Intellectual History and the Return of Religion, edited with John Coffey and Brad S. Gregory (University of Notre Dame Press, 2009), and "Civil Religions in Derby" (The Historical Journal, 2016). He is currently writing a book on the British Conservative Party and a chapter for The Oxford Handbook to C. S. Lewis. Dr. Chapman is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He has taught Modern European History and World History at Westmont since 2004.
