Art Professor to Leave His Mark

Tony Askew, Westmont professor of art and director of Reynolds Gallery, will hold an informal discussion of current methods of intaglio printmaking Wednesday, March 8, at 4:30 p.m., in Art Center 101 next to the gallery.
Askew will reflect on his recent sabbatical in Portland, Ore. where he worked in a printmaking cooperative. He will also discuss changes in the fine art of printmaking and current possibilities and experiments with non-toxic process.
Askew earned his master’s degree at California State University, Los Angeles. He was chairman of the Santa Barbara High School Department of Art for nine years before coming to Westmont in 1982.
