Art Professors Show Their Work
By
Westmont
Professors will practice what they teach in the Westmont Art Faculty Show on display in Reynolds Gallery Thursday, Jan. 17, through Friday, Feb. 29. An opening reception Jan. 17, 4-6 p.m., is open to the public.
A variety of media and styles will be represented in the gallery, from the meditative still life paintings of Susan Savage to the abstract prints of Tony Askew and Siu Zimmerman. Brad Elliott will show his photography, John Carlander and Scott Anderson will bring recent paintings, and Chris Rupp and Deanna Pini will display their sculptural work.
“Not only does this show enable us to keep our personal studies and investigations before us,” says Professor Sue Savage, who chairs the art department. “It also provides a venue for us to engage students and the larger community.”
The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. For more information, contact Nicholas Price at (805) 565-7140. For directions to campus, visit the college Web site at www.westmont.edu.
