Santa Barbara Mayor Helene Schneider will answer questions from Westmont students in a chapel service discussion about poverty and homelessness on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 10:30 a.m. in Murchison Gym. The event is part of Global Focus Week, which this year is focusing on wealth and poverty.
Keith Phillips, president of World Impact, speaks in chapel on Friday, Nov. 2, at 10:30 a.m. in Murchison Gym. World Impact is a Christian missions organization that helps the underserved in urban areas.
“Global Focus Week is intended to be a beginning, not an end to thinking about this global issue and ways we should thoughtfully respond,” says Jeremy Fletcher, coordinator of student ministries and missions.
