Housing Office Summer Housing (including Mayterm)

Summer Housing Overview 

The only summer student housing that is offered through the Westmont Housing Office is at our Ocean View apartments. Housing at Ocean View may be requested by any current Westmont student: students doing Mayterm courses, student summer researchers, student summer campus employees, or simply for students who want to remain for the summer regardless of their reason! 

Applications for Summer OV housing are not reviewed until early April in order to allow faculty and staff an opportunity to complete the summer student hiring process. Priority is given to students taking in-person Mayterm courses, student researchers, international students, and student summer employees (job on campus). OV housing is billed for the entire summer (no partial stays with the exception of students with in-person Mayterm courses and summer researchers).

We no longer offer any main campus housing for Mayterm. Students who need to live on campus for a short term summer stay (summer study abroad programs or athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics beyond Commencement weekend) should be in touch with their faculty or staff coach/supervisor for these details.

• Students who decide to reside off campus in their own housing and commute to campus during the summer period do NOT need to make any official arrangement with the Housing Office! 
• Parking permits are not required during the summer for commuters. 
• If you intend to leave your vehicle parked on campus overnight for any length of time, please be in touch with Campus Safety.
• Please keep in mind we often undertake a number of construction/renovation projects during Summer in OV so there may be significant noise and disruption during this time!!
