Welcome to Intercultural Programs
At Westmont, we are committed to growing in our capacity to meaningfully celebrate and educate on diversity and global engagement. Our hope is that by the time students graduate, they are equipped to confidently walk into whatever calling God has placed on their lives with all of who they are — the stories, experiences, and heritage that inform their unique identities — and be able to empower others to do the same.
At Intercultural Programs (ICP), we particularly focus on the identity facets of race, ethnicity, and culture. ICP's vision is to boldly empower our communities in such a way that we are known for our compassionate and resilient pursuit of unity in diversity. ICP oversees six (6) student-led Intercultural Organizations (ICOs) that exist to help support, educate, and celebrate our diverse communities.
ICP hosts outreach events and programming throughout the school year to help our students of color and international backgrounds build community, deepen appreciation for differences, and strengthen belonging across campus. Past outreach events and programming include DiversiTea, ICP chapel, Night Market, Student Congress on Racial Reconciliation (SCORR), and multicultural competence training for student leaders.

Diversity Goals
At Westmont, we have a Diversity Learning Standard for all students. Westmont's Commitment to Diversity illustrates that our desire is that students have the understanding and skills...
To engage people unlike themselves.
To affirm each person as created in God's image.
To approach others respectfully in thought, word and deed.
To respond to differences through personal reflection, communal discussion and academic analysis.
To avoid stereotyping that vilify, romanticize or victimize persons or groups.
